I’m bursting with excitement to share some fantastic news with you all. One of my Fine Art photos was recently featured in Lensational magazine, an upscale UK publication! I’m beyond thrilled and grateful for this recognition, especially since I only recently started exploring the world of Fine Art painterly photography.
Lensational Magazine is an upscale model and photographer magazine. Published weekly, featuring high-quality photography, dedicated to providing original, different, unique, and creative content. We always believed that success was about seizing opportunities in life. Their goal with Lensational is to provide photographers and models an opportunity to showcase their work, on a platform to promote their creativity, originality, and authenticity.

What is really Fine Art photography
Now, you might be wondering what exactly is Fine Art painterly photography, right? It’s a style that seeks to recreate the look and feel of traditional oil paintings, with soft and dreamy qualities, muted tones, and subtle brushstrokes. The images have a timeless and ethereal quality, inspired by the Old Masters’ paintings like Rembrandt and Vermeer, who were famous for their dramatic use of light and shadow, color harmony, and storytelling.
I love Fine Art painterly photography because it’s such a beautiful way to express emotions and ideas that can’t always be put into words. It’s like capturing the essence of a moment and transforming it into a work of art. Plus, Fine Art photos have a lasting impact, just like the Old Masters’ paintings, which are still admired and revered today.
What type of outfit best work for Fine Art photography
When it comes to Fine Art photography, choosing the right outfit can make a big difference in the final image. Here are some tips on what types of outfits work best for Fine Art photography:
- Simple and Classic Clothing: Since Fine Art photography is all about creating a timeless look, it’s best to choose clothing that is classic and simple. Avoid outfits with bold patterns or logos that can distract from the subject of the photo.
- Neutral Tones: Choosing clothing with neutral tones such as black, white, gray, or beige can help to create a cohesive and harmonious look in the photo. These tones also tend to complement the soft and dreamy quality of Fine Art photography.
- Texture and Detail: While it’s important to keep the outfit simple, incorporating some texture and detail can add interest to the image. Consider choosing clothing with lace, embroidery, or subtle ruffles to create a sense of depth and dimension.
- Accessories: Accessories can also play a role in Fine Art photography. Choose simple and classic jewelry, such as pearls or gold studs, to add a touch of elegance to the image. Scarves or shawls can also be used to add texture or movement to the photo.
Perfect Subjects for Fine Art Photography
As an artist who specializes in Fine Art photography, I believe that certain subjects lend themselves particularly well to this style of photography.
In my experience, young children who can sit for a while and know how to pose are some of the best subjects for Fine Art photography. Children have a natural innocence and wonder that can be captured beautifully in this style. By posing them in classic and simple clothing and using soft and dreamy lighting, I can create a timeless and ethereal quality in the image.
Another subject that I love to work with in Fine Art photography is pregnant women. The natural beauty and glow of pregnancy can be captured beautifully in this style. By posing the woman in a simple and elegant dress and using soft and romantic lighting, I can create an image that celebrates the beauty and magic of pregnancy.
Mommy and Me sessions are also a popular choice for Fine Art photography. These sessions typically involve a mother and her child or children and can create a beautiful and timeless image of the bond between them. By posing them in classic and simple clothing and using soft and dreamy lighting, I can create an image that captures the love and connection between them.
Overall, I believe that anyone who has a love for expressing their soul through art can be a great subject for Fine Art photography. It’s all about capturing the essence of the subject and transforming it into a work of art.
