You must have been hearing a lot about Gratitude Journal and its benefits to our mental health. The idea of writing a gratitude list is that you are listing all the things you are grateful for in your life. This can be anything from people in your life to the weather, but it’s important to remember that any time is a good time to practice gratitude!
Today I feel the need to write down some great things that I am grateful for lately. Not always I have to write them down, more often than not I try to practice gratitude in my head or during the day. But sometimes there is a moment when I just want to remember the great feelings I have and remind me that I have more than I normally account for.

6 things I am grateful for:
-I am grateful that through the challenges, I have risen from a very low point and keep faith in myself and not give up
-I’m grateful that I didn’t let fear hold me back and continue to venture into the unknown-I’m grateful that I was able to learn so many new skills and upgrade myself and meet many new friends in the journey, where we help and support each other.
-I’m grateful for all of the past experiences which have prepared me into a resilient person today-I’m grateful for all of the people who lend me a hand when I needed (be it advice, a chat, a conversation, a pat on the back…)
-I’m grateful for the fruit of one journey, and I had successfully navigated through it.
-I’m grateful to live in a safe and civilized country like Canada, where women are not looked down, raped, not allowed to work, confined by social convention
.-Lastly, I am grateful that I have my small family here with me, (especially my son – I almost never spent as much time with him in the last 7 years except for the first 6 months) through thick and thin
P/S: today, I bought some gifts to send to a person who gave me some advices out of kindness. She doesn’t know me, she’s a stranger, a Director at a top bank in Canada, but she was willing to spend her time to walk me through something I need her insights. That kindness is so invaluable and I would continue to pay it forward.
It is always easier to complain, to fall into the mindset of “a victim”, but a short moment practicing gratitude will shift your energy tremendously.
